Soapstone is also known as Steatite mineral. It is a compact high-purity talc that is found in magnesium rich rocks & veins often with serpentine, calcite, as well as, with mineral deposits of Chlorite, Dolomite & Magnetite. It has a Mohs hardness scale of 1 to 2.5.
Deposits can be found in different locations which includes Brazil, China, India, Australia, Canada, Peru and other.
